Black Series Mildred Art not-a-coaster (4x4)

The Story: Based on an original BoxGirl art piece. Her name is Mildred. She is created as my paternal grandmothers' alter ego. See below for her story.

Mildred - Born Date-10/29/2018: Once the ugly duckling of the family, she turned into the belle of the ball in her later years! Mildred was one of five born in Annapolis, Md. She didn’t have much formal education, but she always had a flair for style.

After her husband was killed in World War II, Mildred moved to New Orleans for a fresh start. She quickly adapted to her new environment and befriended Nola’s social elite. In New Orleans she became host to many of the city’s fanciest ballroom events and masquerade balls. The glitz and glam was always accompanied by the city’s best soul food, jazz entertainment and southern flair. Mildred, aka Milli, also hosts the annual debutant ball for a host of clubs in the New Orleans area. If you happen to see Milli on the street, her hair will always be in place, the heels will be on, the dress will fall below the knee and her hat will be a work of art.
